Symptoms of Inner Change and Personal Transformation

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela

You sense that something big is happening
On planet Earth these days

Your inner voice tells you that
Change is coming

You feel a restlessness stirring deep within

You find yourself searching
For a deeper meaning
And purpose to life

Struggling for survival and happiness
In the material world just doesn't
Satisfy you anymore

More and more you are becoming
Bored and frustrated with the
Routines of everyday life

You no longer feel connected or attached to things,
Places, or even people you once felt close to

Your career or personal relationships
With other people don't feel
The same anymore

Your hunger for the material comforts
And pleasures of life leaves you
Feeling empty and incomplete

You are beginning to realize that
Lasting peace and happiness
Is an inner thing

You find yourself breaking ties
With all things physical

You find yourself looking into the spiritual or mystical
Realms for a greater sense of purpose,
Direction and meaning to life

Tests of personal, financial or physical
Hardship have found their
Way into your life

Perhaps you suffer through periods of profound doubt,
Depression, dissociation, loss of orientation,
Rootlessness and a profound sense of loss

Heavy foods such as beef, rich deserts,
And the like no longer feel right and
Lower your vibrations

You often find yourself wondering... Who am I,
What am I really doing here or what is
My real purpose on this planet?

Perhaps your feelings are becoming more intense,
That you cry or become overly emotional
For no good reason

You feel that time is speeding up

Sometimes you question your own sanity but there
Is a knowing deep within you that says
You are on the right path

You find yourself going through a personal cleansing
Process where old belief systems are being
Weeded out from your inner being

At times you feel exhausted
For no apparent reason

Other times you find it difficult to focus on
Your job or other types of work

Your traditional belief system is showing signs
Of upheaval and you find yourself
Detaching from it

You find yourself in career crisis and are perhaps seeking
Employment and professional fulfillment in an
Entirely new area or a series of unfocused
Projects that have little
Substance to them

You feel a sense of separation
From family and friends

Material things no longer are a
Source of security for you

For some, it seems that your
Entire world is falling apart

You begin to look at things in a
Much different way

Some days everything seems to go right...
Other days everything seemingly goes wrong

You no longer seem concerned
With financial security

You trust in the knowing of your higher Self
And in the notion that the spiritual
Journey is one's true path

Your old life is dying while at the same
Time a new life is emerging

You find yourself very uncomfortable in
The presence of negative energy

Religious dogmas that have motivated
You through fear and guilt
No longer feel right

You find yourself waiting for signs

More and more you feel out of touch, out
Of sync, with the rest of the world

You no longer find meaning in your work

Your life has recently gone through upheaval, perhaps
In the form of a health crisis, financial
Loss, career failure, divorce,
A broken relationship

You feel that your vibration is increasing and that things such
As traffic, noisy malls, busy highways, bustling airports,
Violent movies and other kinds of negative
Energies lower your vibrations

You now find that attachments to any and
All things put limitations on you...
That your sense of freedom
Is diminished

You find yourself detaching from the rat race,
Material possessions, negative relationships,
And old belief systems that don't
Serve you well anymore

You no longer feel connected to consensus reality

You find yourself seeking ways to achieve
Inner peace and simplicity of life

You feel that you live in and sense two different realities
Simultaneously: The 3-dimensional material reality
Your old self used to occupy and a new reality
Of higher vibration and spirituality that
You find yourself shifting into

You Feel good if you can relate to the symptoms
Of personal transformation!

There are massive changes taking
Place on our planet these days

Mother Earth's vibrations grow stronger every
Day and they are reaching higher
And higher elevations

As that happens, you will experience
Profound changes within yourself

Inner change is happening for many of us

And a greater sense of the spiritual is awakening
In the mass consciousness of humanity

If You Can relate to some of these things here is some good reading

Namaste

The Plight of The Empath-HSP

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
I see many clients in my practice as a hypnotherapist and consultant that are overwhelmed by or stuck in some intensely negative, recurring emotion-- especially guilt.
Some exhibit such intense and unexplained sorrow they say things like, "I've been crying all week for no reason!"

I would characterize most, if not all, of these clients as: highly spiritually evolved, accepting responsibility for their own lives, serious about working through their issues and open-minded. So why can't they seem to get past these problems? When I began to intently study this phenomenon, I started seeing similarities and making connections.

Most of these clients would spend as much time (in the pre-talk portion of their sessions) relating other people's problems and how they were affected by them as they did "their own stuff." They frequently made comments regarding seemingly unexplained anger, grief or guilt in themselves, that they simultaneously recognized, yet could easily explain in friends and relatives.

What I began to realize was that these clients were not only extremely empathic, but had no idea what to do about it. In fact, I now believe at least 60 percent of my current clients are highly empathic and, of these, a large portion of the emotional problems they suffer from are not their own.

As synchronicity would have it, shortly after I made this connection, my copy of Issue 29 of Intuition Magazine arrived. There, on page 8, begins an article by Maggie Oman Shannon, titled The Sensitivity Trait.
Oman's article chronicles the work of research psychologist and psychotherapist Elaine Aron.
Aron, highly empathic herself, claims, "high sensitivity can be an asset if you arrange your life to accommodate this gift.
" Her book, The Highly Sensitive Person : How to Thrive when the World Overwhelms You, details her research findings, which include:

The brains of highly sensitive people have more activity and blood flow in the right hemisphere, indicating an internal rather than an external focus. What is moderately arousing to most people is overwhelming to HSPs. HSPs often have decreased serotonin levels resulting from the repeated stress of over arousal.

Likewise, they have more reactive immune systems (allergies) and more sensitive nervous systems. The sensitivity trait is just as likely among men as among women; both represent about 20 percent of the population.

Recommendations from Aron for HSPs:

Spend at least eight to ten hours per day in bed, whether sleeping or not, plus an extra two hours spent in meditation or other forms of solitude and one hour of outdoor exercise.

Make sure to have plenty of "down time", including: one full day per week completely off, one month of vacation per year (split up, preferably), time with animals and plants in nature as often as possible.

Keep the following items on hand: earplugs (for loud noise), silk wrap or blanket of natural materials (to cuddle up in with favorite herbal tea), flowers, candles, incense (to please all the senses), protein snacks (as sensory over arousal depletes blood sugar).

I've uncovered my own recommendations from working with HSPs. First, use some form of releasing therapy, such as Yoga therapy; hypnotherapy; energy work of any kind, such as Reiki; Dance; MAP or ACCESS, to "let go" of stuck emotions, whether yours or someone else's. Then practice either a shielding or a channeling /transmuting program.

In a shielding program, HSPs would typically visualize surrounding themselves with white light and placing a reflective shield outside the light, so negative energies from others get sent back. This, I believe is the most commonly used type of protection. In a similar concept, Native Americans brought us "smudging" using Sage sticks. A healer friend of mine has a prayer she uses in the shower, "Please let all negative emotions that are not mine be washed away in this shower.
"

However, I agree with Judith Orloff, MD, who spoke during a Mind Science Foundation lecture and said she made a conscious decision, even though highly empathic herself, not to shield herself, but to open 100 percent to her vulnerability.

If this idea fits better with your belief system, you can still strengthen yourself by seeing yourself as a channel for a higher energy source, instead of someone who needs protection. Something that worked very well for me during a big shift in my own consciousness was to sing "The Prayer of St. Francis" over and over again as a mantra. (This prayer, set to music, begins "Make me a channel of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me bring Your love...") And, actually visualize yourself as some form of pipe or other conduit, allowing Universal energy to flow through you to heal people and situations around you.

I have a friend who allows the negative energy of others to flow through him and sends it into Mother Earth to be transmuted into positive again. Just sitting in the same room with him is extremely refreshing and empowering. You don't have to be born with this talent; you can develop it and in the process, heal your own life. Through the use of these and other techniques, being born highly sensitive can truly become a blessing. If you'd like more information on this subject, I highly recommend either of Judith Orloff's books or the one highlighted in this article, by Elaine Aron.

The Way to Happiness

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
Why do people go through life looking for happiness? Dogs and cats look for food and comfort, but they certainly don't go to all the trouble that people do in their continual search for happiness. I suppose the reason is that we are the only ones who can align ourselves with the hado of happiness.

Many years ago, I had a discussion with Dr.
Ravi Batra, a well-known international economist, and he said something that has stuck with me:

Why do you think people continually search for happiness? The reason is because we people have a link to unlimited existence. But many of us make a serious mistake. We set up conditions for happiness based on riches and fame, momentary pleasures, and things that are limited and always changing.

There are those who are rich beyond most of our imaginations, and yet they continue to want more as they strive in vain to find happiness. The reason it's in vain is because they are looking to find unlimited happiness in limited money and riches.

Unless we can become one with the unlimited existence, we will never find true happiness. This requires that we raise our consciousness.

All that can be seen with the human eye is of this limited world. Sooner or later, the material trappings will end, and as long as that is how we define happiness, our hearts will always feel hollow.

Of course I understand that casting aside all desire is not possible or even advisable. In fact, desire is not what's preventing us from finding happiness. An appropriate amount of desire is needed to make people strive for something better, and it's what made it possible for human society to rise to its current level. The problem arises when we become slaves to our desires. Our modern society operates on the ability to stir up desire in the masses.

It's no easy task to find happiness in a society established on insatiable desire.
So what is it that we need to do to escape never-ending desire and find happiness?

The answer is to have a thankful heart.

More than ever, we live in a time when love and appreciation is truly needed.
And I think the right ratio for appreciation and love is 2:1 -- the exact ratio of hydrogen to oxygen in the H2O molecule!

We have seen where words of appreciation and love result in crystals of indescribable beauty. There are no conditions needed for appreciation. We can be thankful for life and for our freedom to move about.

When you align your soul with the hado of appreciation and love, a small drop of happiness will seep into your heart and spread throughout your body. This will link you to the vibration of happiness, and happiness will become a part of your daily life. And this is the secret for finding happiness right now wherever you are.

Oceans Too Noisy For Our Marine Friends!

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
Levels of noise in the world's oceans are causing serious problems for whales, dolphins and other marine mammals, a report warns.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare (Ifaw) says undersea noise blocks animals' communication and disrupts feeding.

Naval sonar has been implicated in the mass deaths of some cetaceans.

In some regions, the level of ocean noise is doubling each decade, and Ifaw says protective measures are failing.

"Humanity is literally drowning out marine mammals," said Robbie Marsland, UK director of Ifaw.

"While nobody knows the precise consequences for specific animals, unless the international community takes preventive measures we are likely to discover only too late the terrible damage we're causing.

In its global assessment of cetacean species, released last month, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) concluded that ocean noise posed a significant threat.

Across the Spectrum

Whales and dolphins use sound in ways that are clearly important to their survival, though not completely understood.

Baleen whales, such as blue and humpback whales, produce low frequency calls that can travel thousands of kilometres through water.

Dolphins and toothed whales generate higher frequency clicks used to locate prey.

Noise generated by ships' engines and propellers, and by seismic airguns used in oil and gas exploration, produce a range of frequencies that can interfere with both these groups of species, Ifaw concludes.

Its report - Ocean Noise: Turn it down - cites research showing that the effective range of blue whales' calls is only about one-tenth of what it was before the era of engine-driven commercial shipping.
<

Movements of large ships on the open ocean are largely unrestricted
It also notes that high-energy military sonar systems have driven the mass strandings and deaths of beaked whales.

The sonar is thought to disrupt the animals' diving behaviour so much that they suffer a condition rather like "the bends" which human divers can contract if they surface too quickly.

Pressure from conservation groups has led to restrictions on the use of sonar by the US Navy.

In some places, companies involved in oil and gas exploration limit their use of seismic airguns.

The use of high-energy sonar and seismic airguns should be completely prohibited in sensitive areas, it says. National legislation, such as the UK's Marine Bill, should comprehensively restrict the exposure of cetaceans to noise.

The UK branch of the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS) has sounded alarm bells recently over oil and gas exploration in the Moray Firth, home to a small population of bottlenose dolphins.

The Ifaw report is not the first to raise the threat posed by ocean noise, and it will not be the last.

The problem is that most of the activities causing the problem - commercial shipping, mineral extraction - are part and parcel of the modern, interconnected economy.

A further obstacle to legislation is that much of the noise is generated on the high seas, which are largely unregulated.

Seven Simple Truths From The Cherokee

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
Seven Simple Truths from the Cherokee

We may not always have control over what happens to us,
but we always have a choice over what happens inside us.

--J.T.
Garrett and Michael Tlanusta Garrett

These clear and simple truths are based on traditional American Indian beliefs. They illuminate the values underlying the Cherokee vision of the Full Circle, and they can help us begin living our lives in more connected, healed, and whole ways.

1. We are our own best experts. No one knows us better than us. Nobody but us has seen with our eyes the things we've seen, and most importantly, no one but us has experienced our lives in quite the same way that we have. What others do know of us, they know only through what they see and what we tell them. It is our choice whether or not to invite others to see with our eyes or walk in our shoes; it is their choice whether or not to do so.

2. We are our own worst enemies. No one does a better job of deceiving us or treating ourselves badly than we do. No one can do a better job of finding ways to ignore our innermost thoughts and fears than we can. Certainly, other people may try to make us feel badly, or want us to be different than we are; however, their success depends on our willingness to let them succeed in doing so. Our success in doing ourselves wrong depends solely on intention.

3. The worst thing about having so many choices is having to choose. No one can say for sure who is truly worse off: the one who is forced to do something and wishes she/he could do something entirely different, or the one who freely chooses to do something and later regrets it.

4. Imagination is the one true measure of freedom. It's not a matter of what you can or cannot do, but what you think you can or cannot do that matters. Inevitably, the rest will follow in time. Being open to experience or the possibilities of every situation reflects the inner strength of one who has established harmony within oneself.

5. Wisdom is having more questions than answers. The one who has found all the answers to his or her questions has run out of questions. The one who has run out of questions has run out of learning. A person who ceases to learn has also ceased to experience. And a person who has run out of experience cannot be wise.

6. Search long and hard enough for something and you'll surely find it. Sometimes we look for something when there is nothing. However, if we keep looking for it to be there, almost miraculously it will be--this is especially true of limitations. Moreover, the harder we look for a certain quality of limitation, the more likely it is to appear before our very eyes. At the same time, if you look too hard for something you might miss it altogether.

7. Sometimes we try so hard to be what we're not that we may forget who we are. Our nature provides us with opportunities for becoming something much greater than ourselves. However, if a circle tries to bend by ignoring its center, it's no longer a circle.

The Red Kachina Returns!

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
Hopi Prophecy Fulfilled (But Look Out for Red October)

Do you remember back in 1997, the Hopi Elders appeared with Dr. Robert Ghost Wolf on Art Bells Coast to Coast show, they spoke to millions of wary listeners around the world as they predicted the coming of The Blue Star Kachina and that the Purifier, the Red Star Kachina would follow shortly after the twins had (Hale-Bopp pictures right) passed from our heavens. They spoke about us seeing strange things going on with animals, frogs with six legs, rabbits with four ears, animals being born with both genders. They spoke of Earth Changes, and 'Firestorms', and they talked about the Eight Thunders Prophecies... and the Pale Prophet...

The following is an excerpt from LAST CRY Native American Prophecies & Tales of the End Times, by Dr. Robert Ghost Wolf © 1994-2004. It has appeared in numerous articles over the web, and in magazines all over the world...

"The story of the Blue Kachina is a very old story, very old. I have been aware of the story of the Blue Kachina since I was very young. I was told this story by grandfathers who are now between 80 and 108 years of age. Frank Waters also wrote about Saquasohuh, the Blue Star Kachina in The Book of the Hopi. The story came from Grandfather Dan, Oldest Hopi...

Photo: Hopi Chief Dan Evahema, died January, 1999

"It was told to me that first the Blue Kachina would start to be seen at the dances, and would make his appearance known to the children in the plaza during the night dance. This event would tell us that the end times are very near. Then the Blue Star Kachina would physically appear in our heavens which would mean that we were in the end times...

"In the Final days we will look up in our heavens and we will witness the return of the two brothers who helped create this world in the birthing time. Poganghoya is the guardian of our North Pole and his Brother Palongawhoya is the guardian of the South pole. In the final days the Blue Star Kachina will come to be with his nephews and they will return the Earth to its natural rotation which is counter clock wise...

"This fact is evidenced in many petraglyphs that speak of the Zodiac, and within the Mayan and Egyptian pyramids. The rotation of the Earth has been manipulated by not so benevolent Star beings . The twins will be seen in our North Western skies. They will come and visit to see who still remembered the original teachings flying in their Patuwvotas, or flying shields. They will bring many of their star family with them in the final days...

"The return of the Blue Star Kachina who is also known as Nan ga sohu will be the alarm clock that tells us of the new day and new way of life, a new world that is coming. This is where the changes will begin. They will start as fires that burn within us, and we will burn up with desires and conflict if we do not remember the original teachings, and return to the peaceful way of life...

"Not far behind the twins will come the Purifier, The Red Kachina, who will bring the Day of Purification. On this day the Earth, her creatures and all life as we know it will change forever. There will be messengers that will precede this coming of the Purifier. They will leave messages to those on Earth who remember the old ways...

"The messages will be found written in the living stone, through the sacred grains, and even the waters. (Crop Circles have been found in ice) From the Purifier will issue forth a great Red Light. All things will change in their manner of being. Every living thing will be offered the opportunity to change from the largest to the smallest thing...

"Those who return to the ways given to us in the original teachings, and live a natural way of life will not be touched by the coming of the Purifier. They will survive and build the new world. Only in the ancient teachings will the ability to understand the messages be found...

"It is important to understand that these messages will be found upon every living thing, even within our bodies, even within a drop of our blood. All life forms will receive the messages from the twins.. those that fly, the plants, even the rabbit. The appearance of the twins begins a period of seven years will be our final opportunity to change our ways. Everything we experience is all a mater of choice...

"Many will appear to have lost their souls in these final days. So intense will the nature of the changes be that those who are weak in spiritual awareness will go insane, for we are nothing without spirit. They will disappear, for they are just hollow vessels for any thing to use. Life will be so bad in the cities that many will choose to leave this plane. Some in whole groups...

"Only those who return to the values of the old ways will be able to find peace of mind. For in the Earth we shall find relief from the madness that will be all around us. It will be a very hard time for women with children for they will be shunned, and many of the children in these times will be unnatural. Some being from the Stars some from past worlds, some will even be created by man in an unnatural manner and will be soulless. Many of people in this time will be empty in Spirit they will have Sampacu. No life force in their eyes...

"As we get close to the time of arrival the Purifier, there will be those who walk as ghosts through the cities, through canyons they will have constructed in their man made mountains. Those that walk through these places will be very heavy in their walk, it will appear almost painful as they take each step for they will be disconnected from their spirit and the Earth...

"After the arrival of the twins, they will begin to vanish before your eyes like so much smoke. Others will have great deformities, both in the mind and upon their bodies. There will be those who would walk in the body that are not from this reality, for many of the gateways that once protected us will be opened, there will be much confusion. Confusion between sexes, and children and their elders...

"Life will get very perverted, and there will be little social order, in these times Many will ask for the mountains themselves to fall upon them just to end their misery. Still others will appear as if untouched by what is occurring. The ones who remember the original teachings and have reconnected their hearts and spirit. Those who remember who their mother and father is. The Pahana who have left to live in the Mountains and forest...

"When the Purifier comes, we will see him first as a small Red Star which will come very close and sit in our heavens watching us. Watching us to see how well we have remembered the sacred teachings...

"This Purifier will show us many miraculous signs in our heavens In this way we will know Creator is not a dream. Even those who do not feel their connection to spirit will see the face of creator across the sky. Things unseen will be felt very strongly...

"Many things will begin to occur that will not make sense, for reality will be shifting back in and out of the dream state. There will be many doorways to the lower world that will open at this time. Things long forgotten will come back to remind us of our past creations. All living things will want to be present for this day when time ends, and we enter the forever cycle of the Fifth World...

"We will receive many warnings allowing us to change our ways from below the Earth as well as above. Then one morning in a moment. We will awaken to the Red Dawn. The sky will be the color of blood, many things will then begin to happen that right now we are nor sure of their exact nature. For much of reality will not be as it is now...

"There will be many strange beasts upon the Earth in those days, some from the past and some that we have never seen. The nature of mankind will appear strange in these times we walk between worlds and we will house many spirits even within our bodies After a time we will again walk with our brothers from the Stars, and rebuild this Earth But not until the Purifier has left his mark upon the universe...

"No thing living will go untouched, here or in the heavens. The way through this time it is said is to be found in our hearts, and reuniting with our spiritual self. Getting simple and returning to living with and upon the Earth and in harmony with her creatures. Remembering that we are the caretakers, the fire keepers of the Spirit. Our relatives from the Stars are coming home to see how well we have faired in our journey...

Eckhart Tolle-My favorite Author!

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
About Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tolle Eckhart Tolle, (born Germany, 1948 as Ulrich Tolle) is a contemporary spiritual teacher and writer on spirituality. His non-fiction bestseller, The Power of Now, describes his experience of enlightenment at the age of 29 after suffering long periods of depression, dissolving his old identity and radically changing the course of his life. This book emphasizes the importance of being aware of the present moment as a way of negating past and future. In Tolle's view, the present is the gateway to a heightened sense of peace and aliveness. "Being in the now" also brings about an awareness that is beyond the mind. This awareness helps in transcending "the pain-body" that is created by the identification of the mind and ego with the body. His later book, A New Earth further explores the structure of the human ego and how this acts to distract people from their present experience of the world. His other works include Stillness Speaks, a book that modernises the ancient sutra form. The aim of Tolle's teachings is the transformation of individual and collective human consciousness -a global spiritual awakening.

Spiritual Quotes

As long as you are unable to access the power of the Now, every emotional pain that you experience leaves behind a residue of pain that lives on in you.

You are here to enable the divine purpose of the universe to unfold.

That is how important you are!

Meet everyone and everything through stillness rather than mental noise.

When you live in surrender, something comes through you into the world of duality that is not of this world.

Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life.

Not to be able to stop thinking is a dreadful affliction, but we don't realize this because almost everyone is suffering from it, so it is considered normal. This incessant mental noise prevents you from finding that realm of inner stillness that is inseparable from Being.

The key is to be in a state of permanent connectedness with your inner body - to feel it at all times. This will rapidly deepen and transform your life. The more consciousness you direct into the inner body, the higher its vibrational frequency becomes.

To be conscious of Being, you need to reclaim consciousness from the mind. This is one of the most essential tasks on your spiritual journey.

To offer no resistance to life is to be in a state of grace, ease, and lightness. This state is then no longer dependent upon things being in a certain way, good or bad. It seems almost paradoxical, yet when your inner dependency on form is gone, the general conditions of your life, the outer forms, tend to improve greatly.

See if you can catch yourself complaining in either speech or thought, about a situation you find yourself in, what other people do or say, your surroundings, your life situation, even the weather. To complain is always nonacceptance of what is. It invariably carries an unconscious negative charge. When you complain, you make yourself a victim. Leave the situation or accept it. All else is madness.

Most people treat the present moment as if it were an obstacle that they need to overcome. Since the present moment is Life itself, it is an insane way to live.

Those who have not found their true wealth, which is the radiant joy of Being and the deep, unshakable peace that comes with it, are beggars, even if they have great material wealth. They are looking outside for scraps of pleasure or fulfillment, for validation, security, or love, while they have a treasure within that not only includes all those things but is infinitely greater than anything the world can offer.

The present moment has always been available to spiritual seekers, but as long as you are seeking you are not available to the present moment. "Seeking" implies that you are looking to the future for some answer, or for some achievement, spiritual or otherwise. Everybody is in the seeking mode, seeking to add something to who they are, whether it be money, relationships, possessions, knowledge, status.. or spiritual attainment.

All cravings are the mind seeking salvation or fulfillment in external things and in the future as a substitute for the joy of Being. As long as I am my mind, I am those cravings, those needs, wants, attachments, and aversions, and apart from them there is no "I" except as a mere possibility, an unfulfilled potential, a seed that has not yet sprouted.

Your mind is an instrument, a tool. It is there to be used for a specific task, and when the task is completed, you lay it down. As it is, I would say about 80 to 90 percent of most people's thinking is not only repetitive and useless, but because of its dysfunctional and often negative nature, much of it is also harmful. Observe your mind and you will find this to be true. It causes a serious leakage of vital energy.

Fear arises through identification with form, whether it be a material possession, a physical body, a social role, a self-image, a thought, or an emotion. It arises through unawareness of the formless inner dimension of consciousness or spirit, which is the essence of who you are. You are trapped in object consciousness, unaware of the dimension of inner space which alone is true freedom.

Thinking, or more precisely identification with thinking, gives rise to and maintains the ego, which, in our Western society in particular, is out of control. It believes it is real and tries hard to maintain its supremacy. Negative states of mind, such as anger, resentment, fear, envy, and jealousy, are products of the ego.

The insanity of the collective egoic mind, amplified by science and technology, is rapidly taking our species to the brink of disaster. Evolve or die: that is our only choice now.

Internal and external are ultimately one. When you no longer perceive the world as hostile, there is no more fear, and when there is no more fear, you think, speak and act differently. Love and compassion arise, and they affect the world.

Is suffering really necessary? Yes and no. If you had not suffered as you have, there would be no depth to you, no humility, no compassion.

Direct your attention inward. Have a look inside yourself. What kind of thoughts is your mind producing? What do you feel? Direct your attention into the body. Is there any tension? Once you detect that there is a low level of unease, the background static, see in what way you are avoiding, resisting, or denying life -by denying the Now.

What a liberation to realize that the "voice in my head" is not who I am. Who am I then? The one who sees that.

If you identify with a mental position, then if you are wrong, your mind-based sense of self is seriously threatened with annihilation. So you as the ego cannot afford to be wrong. To be wrong is to die. Wars have been fought over this, and countless relationships have broken down.

The secret of life is to "die before you die" -- and find that there is no death.

"How" is always more important that "what." See if you can give much more attention to the doing than to the result that you want to achieve through it.

Whatever the present moment contains, accept is as if you had chosen it. Always work with it, not against it. Make it your friend and ally, not your enemy. This will miraculously transform your whole life.

The reason why some people love to engage in dangerous activities, such as mountain climbing, car racing, and so on, although they may not be aware of it, is that it forces them into the Now -- that intensely alive state that is free of time, free of problems, free of thinking, free of the burden of the personality.

If a fish is born in your aquarium and you call him John, write out a birth certificate, tell him about his family history, and in two minutes he gets eaten by another fish -- that's tragic. But it's only tragic because you projected a separate self where there was none. You got hold of a fraction of dynamic process, a molecular dance, and a separate entity out of it.

The word God has become empty of meaning through thousands of years of misuse. I use it sometimes, but I do so sparingly. By misuse, I mean that people who have never even glimpsed at the realm of the sacred, the infinite vastness behind that word, use it with great conviction, as if they knew what they are talking about. Or, they argue against it, as if they knew what it is that they are denying. This misuse gives rise to absurd beliefs, assertions, and egoic delusions, such as "My or our God is the only true God, and your God is false," or Neitzche's famous statement "God is dead.

"

So the single most vital step on your journey toward enlightenment is this: learn to disidentify with your mind. Every time you create a gap in the stream of mind the light of your consciousness grows stronger.

Thinking and consciousness are not synonymous. Thinking is only a small aspect of consciousness. Thought cannot exist without consciousness, but consciousness does not need thought.

If you keep your attention in the body as much as possible, you will be anchored in the Now. You won't lose yourself in the external world, and you won't lose yourself in your mind. Thoughts and emotions, fears and desires may still be there to some extent, but they won't take you over.

Are you polluting the world or cleaning up the mess? You are responsible for your inner space; nobody else is, just as you are responsible for the planet. As within, so without: If humans clear inner pollution, then they will also cease to create outer pollution.

If you find your here and now intolerable and it makes you unhappy, you have three options: remove yourself from the situation, change it, or accept it totally. If you want to take responsibility for your life, you must choose one of those three options, and you must choose now. Then accept the consequences. No excuses. No negativity. No psychic pollution. Keep your inner space clear.

Most people's lives are run by desire and fear. Desire is the need to add something to yourself in order to be yourself more fully. All fear is the fear of losing something and thereby becoming diminished and being less. These two movements obscure the fact that Being cannot be given or taken away. Being in its fullness is already within you, Now.

Consciousness is evolving throughout the universe in billions of forms. So even if we didn't make it, this wouldn't matter on cosmic scale. No gain in consciousness is ever lost, so it would simply express itself through some other form. But the very fact that I am speaking here and you are listening or reading this is a clear sign that the new consciousness is gaining a foothold on the planet.

Choice implies consciousness - a high degree of consciousness. Without it, you have no choice. Choice begins the moment you disidentify from the mind and its conditioned patterns, the moment you become present....Nobody chooses dysfunction, conflict, pain. Nobody chooses insanity. They happen because there is not enough presence in you to dissolve the past, not enough light to dispel the darkness. You are not fully here. You have not quite woken up yet. In the meantime, the conditioned mind is running your life.

Always say "yes" to the present moment. What could be more futile, more insane, than to create inner resistance to what already is? what could be more insane than to oppose life itself, which is now and always now? Surrender to what is. Say "yes" to life -- and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.

The most common ego identifications have to do with possessions, the work you do, social status and recognition, knowledge and education, physical appearance, special abilities, relationships, personal and family history, belief systems, and often political, nationalistic, racial, religious, and other collective identifications. None of these is you.

There is never a time when your life is not "this moment.

" Is this not a fact?

When you look upon another human being and feel great love toward them, or when you contemplate beauty in nature and something within you responds deeply to it, close your eyes for a moment and feel the essence of that love or that beauty within you, inseparable from who you are, your true nature. The outer form is a temporary reflection of what you are within, in your essence. That is why love and beauty can never leave you, although all outer forms will.

True freedom and the end of suffering is living in such a way as if you had completely chosen whatever you feel or experience at this moment. This inner alignment with Now is the end of suffering. Is suffering really necessary? Yes and no. If you had not suffered as you have, there would be no depth to you as a human being, no humility, no compassion. You would not be reading this now. Suffering cracks open the shell of ego, and then comes a point when it has served its purpose. Suffering is necessary until you realize it is unnecessary.

Focus your attention on the Now and tell me what problem you have at this moment.

The mind is a superb instrument if used rightly. Used wrongly, however, it becomes very destructive. To put it more accurately, it is not so much that you use your mind wrongly -- you usually don't use it at all. It uses you. This is the disease. You believe that you are your mind. This is the delusion. The instrument has taken you over.

Being is the eternal, ever-present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death. However, Being is not only beyond but also deep within every form as its innermost invisible and indestructible essence. This means that is is accessible to you now as your own deepest self, your true nature. But don't seek to grasp it with your mind. Don't try to understand it. You can know it only when the mind is still.

The word enlightenment conjures up the idea of some superhuman accomplishment, and the ego likes to keep it that way, but it is simply your natural state of felt oneness with Being.

More on Empaths...........

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
EMPATHS

We are like the wings of a small bird
So fragile, yet strong to support
our weight in flight

We hover at the threshold
Of things which are not of us
Yet, we know them

Recognizing the joy, pain, and agony
Of so many who pass by us
And their names we know not

There are many different levels to being empathic. There are also different times in each of our lives that we recognize this ability when it suddenly seems to bloom before us. Some empaths don't seem to have a problem with being able to pick up on others while theres some who have a lot of problems in what effects it has upon them.

Everyone is empathic to some degree. The simplist in empathy is being having compasion for another and what their going through. Everyone can relate to this type as we all do it. Another part of empathy are those who have the compasionate side of it, but suddenly it seems out of nowhere the empathy expands going deeper. They begin to pick up feelings from others when not even trying to, or from complete strangers.

Of these some will become extremely sensitive and develope physical symptoms such as headaches, aches, pains, become nervous, experience fatigue, anxiety, stress and depression.

Some of the severe cases have sweaty palms, deep anxiousness, nervousness, restlessness, irrational thoughts, shortness of breath, hot and cold sweats, loss of appetite, or increase in appetite, nausea, a feeling of suffocation-can't breath or get enough air, and a desperate feeling to flee any crowded place. In fact most empaths don't like to go shopping or be in crowds, even an elevator bothers them if crowded. Large family get to togethers may bother them to some extent, particularly if theres one or more present who seem to be negative.

What causes this is the electromagnetic field around everyone call an aura. When we find ourselves in a very busy place where theres little space, no more than 2-3 feet distance from many people and in large numbers of people an empath will pick up on all energies there and may be overwhelmed by them. The feeling of flee and escape comes to them. They may forget some things they were shopping for and exasperated simply go home.

As we know, when someone is thinking and expressing emotions these thoughts and feelings are exuded by them not only out in their aura, but may go out several feet from them. All of this is floating around and unbeknownst to some empaths they may also be close by or walk through them.

Sometimes we get a feeling/thought and our eyes go directly to a person and without a doubt we 'know' its coming from them. But not all empaths do that in the beginning. It takes time to adjust to this and learn to handle emapthy so that it doesn't change your life to any great extent, making you uncomfortable and feeling inadequate to relate to others.

It seems those born with empathy don't have near the problems with it as others who come into it later on either in or after adulthood and sometimes in mid-life or older. They have the ability to 'detach' themselves from these energies. This doesn't mean they don't sense them because they do, but they have no physical effect upon them and are kept at a distance. Most who are born with empathy also have a well developed intuition and are know as intuitive empaths.

Many healers are intuitive empaths.

A well known factor which causes these symptoms to worsen is fear. Above all fear in not feeling in control of yourself, not being able to handle these impressions coming to you. Lets face it, when we've been invited to a party we do want to attend and socialize with our friends and we want to have a good time. We don't want to get that choking feeling of being smothered, heat in our heads, headache, all of the above symptoms and many more.
But how often do we excuse ourselves and go home early?

Empathy actually is the merging of yourself with another for a moment. You may see life through that persons eyes, sense the world as they do and all around them as well as their feelings. If the empath isn't aware of what is happening to them or don't even know about empathy they will think that these things are coming from them. This will throw them off center and out of balance.

We need to center ourselves. How is this done? One way is through grounding and the Source within you is an excellent method to use as it too allows you to feel the at one ness with all things. Simply walking in Nature is another way of grounding and looking at the beauty around you. Find that tree, bush, flower or plant that stands out from all the rest, that seems brighter for some reason and see the beauty in it, 'feel' it. Send Unconditional Love to it and sense as this love is returned to you. Sometimes while doing this we will also see their auras. For instance take a tree or a group of trees and look just above the tree tops where the sky is but still being able to see the tops in your lower vision...hold it...and you may see their auras....

The auric energy is electromagnetic and its also a purer form of energy. When you see this something happens inside of you. There is a deep love that you automatically 'feel' connected to whatever the aura is around. You 'know' that this is a part of finer matter and a closer connection to Spirit (God or whatever name applies). This too centers you. If you don't see the aura, but sense a brightness around something then this too will key you into it. Some don't see auras but will sense them.

The best way to get control of empathy is to increase your awareness in the spirutal, physical and emotional energies or aspects of yourself. Doing this bring more balance to you, more control, will overcome the negativity and fear you have within you. It makes you more secure within yourself.

Another thing to know is space or boundaries. All things in existence have this, its nothing new and nothing wrong with it. Its a natural thing so as not to interfere with another in their own space which might cause a change that would be devastating to them. So we do set boundaries. Notice how boundaries are set at the dining room table. With plates, silverware, glass, cup and saucer in each individual space along with a chair to be seated in. Learn to accept your boundaries and that of others. Do not let another's energies enter your boundary or space! Keep all energies outside of your auric field of energy. You will still be able to pick up and even better for you 'know' those thoughts and feelings aren't yours.

By setting this up you may use shields and go a step further. On the outside of that shield place a see through wall like glass but made of energy and unbreakable, unpenetrable. Now your set. When you sense something simply detach yourself from the incoming data (energies) like watching a movie...your not part of the movie, but in this instance you will not involve your thoughts/feelings either for you are not focused upon self, but on the energies and/or the person their coming from. This is what an intuitive empath does. They detach and its automatic when energies are sensed around them.

Make certain you meditate and in this is meant in many different ways, not just sitting and closing your eyes. You can go into a meditative state while doing dishes, looking out a window or anything you are doing. Think for a moment...remember when you would be working in something mundane and you felt like you weren't quite here, engrossed in thought, thinking about something and didn't even realize you were done. Recall that feeling when you weren't aware of self, for that is a good description of what detachment is and how it feels.

Know too, that in tough situations where it requires your control and using your head, to detach yourself and 'view' what is taking place. You will be able to see a clearer picture and know what to do for the good and benefit of all involved.

Also for those emotional vampires, they won't like you very much either. They won't be able to steal your energy from you, because you're not exuding any emotions. Its the energy from emotions that they feed off of. You will often see blank looks on their faces or someone who is sensitive and realizes that you have no emotion. For them their flabbergasted because this is not normal.

I finally understand and have my questions answered of why I was getting panic attacks out of nowhere and in particular in large crowds. This article gave me so many answers ....I hope it may help some of you too!Namaste!

Psychic Attack: Spiritual Purification and Cord Cutting

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
Psychic Attack: Spiritual Purification and Cord Cutting
By Lisa Whatley
Energy stealers are everywhere! They are your family members, your friends and they are your co-workers and YOU may even be one yourself. A more common name is a Psychic Vampire and we all know what vampires do! In this case the vampire is sucking our vital energy, depleting us and causing us to become unhealthy emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Spiritual purification and cord cutting are some tools that can keep the vampires away!

What does the term ‘Psychic Vampire' mean anyway? A psychic vampire is a person that steals other people's energies because they are living their life in victim consciousness and believe that everything happens 'to' them. Living in this manner is very dis-empowering. Therefore in order for them to feel better about themselves they need to attach themselves to another person's energy field. In order for this ‘vampire' to attach themselves to your energy body, they form cords attaching the two of you together. When they need a boost, they unconsciously steal your energy instead of using their own! These cords are also like highways and run both ways! That means that you will also receive their energy whether it is positive or negative. If they have a headache, you may also develop a headache. It they are depressed, you may become depressed. If they are angry, you may become angry and so on. As you can see this can be very detrimental to your health. At an unconscious level, you have allowed the vampire or vampires to attach themselves to your energy body through these cords. These cords are not visible to the naked eye but they can be seen with the psychic third eye. These cords prevent you from really being the real you! It is imperative that these cords be severed and sometimes a spiritual purification is required for your well-being and also for the growth of the other person.

How do we recognize a Psychic Vampire? Some traits of the dis-empowered energy stealer are:

- feels lonely or abandoned

- feels they have been rejected

- needs constant reassurance

- never feels satisfied

- doesn't like to be alone

- seeks nurturing or feels they need to be taken care of

- low energy and fatigued

- they have a poor me attitude

- is a drama king or queen

- constant talker that never allows you to speak

- needs you to be their therapist or rescuer fixing their problems

- the blamer making you feel guilty about things

- vindictive by putting you down

- a person that is unhappy a lot

- tries controlling you or your life

- manipulates you to get things their way

How do I know if I am being psychically attacked?

- dizziness

- loss of energy

- muscle tension

- mental confusion

- headaches

- chronic fatigue

- sleep disturbances

- irritability

- depressed mood

- physical illness

- small diminishing aura

- leaks, holes and/or tears in your aura

- and a whole lot more!

I know, you are now thinking that is almost everyone alive! Unfortunately, too many people are simply not aware of their energetic bodies and how they operate. Once people start taking responsibility for creating their own lives and taking back their personal power this will not be an epidemic. (Granted other conditions also can be the cause of these symptoms besides being psychically attacked.) Those that psychically attack others either do this consciously or subconsciously. Either way it is detrimental to your health, in all areas of your energetic being, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

How do I protect myself from this? First you need to become aware of which individuals deplete your energy and limit your contact with them. But simply not being in their physical presence does not stop them from draining you! Know that not all people attacking you are people that you know either! Secondly, you need to release all the negative emotions that you carry within yourself. If you hold anger, hurt, jealousy etc. inside your being, it is like you are shackled to a ball and chain, holding you hostage with your own creation! Releasing of all negative emotions brings freedom as fear is the robber of peace. Why must I do this? Because any disharmony in our four energetic bodies will cause us to be vulnerable, so that darkness and confusion can enter. Being aware of this is empowering. I stress this, do not go into fear now that you are aware of this. Simply take the steps to protect yourself. Darkness consists of anything that is of a lower/heavier vibration such as anger, fear, depression, jealousy, hatred etc. When angry thoughts are directed at you, they can penetrate your weak and vulnerable areas like arrows. What happens is they take away your clarity and fill you with confusion and drain your energy. Following are some tools to empower yourself from Psychic Vampires.

Here is a simple cord cutting exercise. Cord cutting should be done on a daily basis and much more often when we are going through a stressful period in our life. These cords should be cut from our loved ones as well. No cord attached to anyone or thing is good!

- Take some deep cleansing breaths. In through the nose and out through the mouth. Call upon Arch Angel Michael and ask him for his assistance in cutting all cords that are attached to your being. Visualize Michael swirling his sword around your entire being severing all the cords. Know that no cord can remain intact and they are returning to where they came from. When you feel Michael has completed this process, thank him for his assistance. It is done. Easy as that!

Here are some physical steps for purification.

- Burn all relevant photographs or objects holding memories of the person, place or situation.

- Write down all feelings of frustration, anger, hurt, fear, etc., and burn the paper, flush it down the toilet or bury it. Please don't give it to the person! Repeat this step as often as necessary.

- Clear all the clutter from every room of your home. Rule of thumb. If you haven't used in 6 months it's not likely you will! Get rid of it.

- Clean and if necessary redecorate your home. Bringing nature indoors is wonderful energy!

- Check there are no books in your bookshelves or pictures on your walls that have negative energy. Surround yourself with high vibrational objects, spiritual books, spiritual pictures, plants, fresh flowers etc.

- Sprinkle holy water in all rooms starting at the center spiraling outwards.

- Smudge with sage, cedar and sweetgrass and invoke the help of God, the Ascended Masters, the Great White Brother and Sisterhood, the Archangels and Angels, your Higherself and I AM Presence.

- Play sacred music and sing, chant OM or say The Lord's Prayer.

- Cleanse and purify your crystals and dedicate them to the Light.

- Light candles and use high vibrational pure essential oils.

You now have the tools and knowledge to take back your personal power. I invite you to empower yourself today!

Traits of A Empath

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
Traits of an Empath

Empaths are often quiet and can take a while to handle a compliment for they're more inclined to point out another's positive attributes. They are highly expressive in all areas of emotional connection, and talk openly, and, at times, quite frankly in respect to themselves. They may have few problems talking about their feelings.

However, they can be the exact opposite: reclusive and apparently unresponsive at the best of times. They may even appear ignorant. Some are very good at blocking out others and that's not always a bad thing, at least for the learning empath struggling with a barrage of emotions from others, as well as their own feelings.

Empaths have a tendency to openly feel what is outside of them more so than what is inside of them. This can cause empaths to ignore their own needs. In general an empath is non-violent, non-aggressive and leans more towards being the peacemaker. Any area filled with disharmony creates an uncomfortable feeling in an empath. If they find themselves in the middle of a confrontation, they will endeavor to settle the situation as quickly as possible, if not avoid it all together. If any harsh words are expressed in defending themselves, they will likely resent their lack of self-control, and have a preference to peacefully resolve the problem quickly.

Empaths are sensitive to TV, videos, movies, news and broadcasts. Violence or emotional dramas depicting shocking scenes of physical or emotional pain inflicted on adults, children or animals can bring an empath easily to tears. At times, they may feel physically ill or choke back the tears. Some empaths will struggle to comprehend any such cruelty, and will have grave difficulty in expressing themselves in the face of another's ignorance, closed-mindedness and obvious lack of compassion. They simply cannot justify the suffering they feel and see.

People of all walks of life and animals are attracted to the warmth and genuine compassion of empaths. Regardless of whether others are aware of one being empathic, people are drawn to them as a metal object is to a magnet! They are like beacons of light.

Even complete strangers find it easy to talk to empaths about the most personal things, and before they know it, they have poured out their hearts and souls without intending to do so consciously. It is as though on a sub-conscious level that person knows instinctively that empaths would listen with compassionate understanding.

Here are the listeners of life.

Empaths are often problem solvers,
thinkers, and studiers of many things.

As far as empaths are concerned,
where a problem is, so too is the answer.

They often will search until they find one-
-if only for peace of mind.

Native American Code of Ethics

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
Native American Code Of Ethics

1. Rise with the sun to pray. Pray alone. Pray often. The Great Spirit will listen, if you only speak.

2. Be tolerant of those who are lost on their path. Ignorance, conceit, anger, jealousy and greed stem from a lost soul. Pray that they will find guidance.

3. Search for yourself, by yourself. Do not allow others to make your path for you. It is your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.

4. Treat the guests in your home with much consideration. Serve them the best food, give them the best bed and treat them with respect and honor.

5. Do not take what is not yours whether from a person, a community, the wilderness or from a culture. It was not earned nor given. It is not yours.

6. Respect all things that are placed upon this earth, whether it be people or plant.

7. Honor other people's thoughts, wishes and words. Never interrupt another or mock or rudely mimic them. Allow each person the right to personal expression.

8. Never speak of others in a bad way. The negative energy that you put out into the universe will multiply when it returns to you.

9. All persons make mistakes. And all mistakes can be forgiven.

10. Bad thoughts cause illness of the mind, body and spirit. Practice optimism.

11. Nature is not FOR us, it is a PART of us. They are part of your worldly family.

12. Children are the seeds of our future. Plant love in their hearts and water them with wisdom and life's lessons. When they are grown, give them space to grow.

13. Avoid hurting the hearts of others. The poison of your pain will return to you.

14. Be truthful at all times. Honesty is the test of one's will within this universe.

15. Keep yourself balanced. Your Mental self, Spiritual self, Emotional self, and Physical self, all need to be strong, pure and healthy. Work out the body to strengthen the mind. Grow rich in spirit to cure emotional ails.

16. Make conscious decisions as to who you will be and how you will react. Be responsible for your own actions.

17. Respect the privacy and personal space of others. Do not touch the personal property of others, especially sacred and religious objects. This is forbidden.

18. Be true to yourself first. You cannot nurture and help others if you can not nurture and help yourself first.

19. Respect others religious beliefs. Do not force your belief on others.

20. Share your good fortune with others. Participate in charity.

May you walk in beauty.

Prana-Deepak Chopra

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
A Letter From Deepak
Where there is energy, there is prana, the universal life force that exists everywhere. Any form of energy is considered prana, including heat, light, electricity, and gravity. Prana is the prime mover of all activity; it is life and consciousness.

The most obvious manifestation of prana is our breath. Each day, we take more than 20,000 breaths, but how often do we notice the life force that animates our being? If we pay attention, our breath can teach us more than we can imagine: our emotional state, the power of the present moment, gratitude, peace, and even God.

Focusing on the breath immediately brings us into the now. When we allow ourselves to be present, we create the breathing room we crave so intensely and we can feel, unimpeded, the sensual rhythm of our lives.

The interplay between inhale and exhale is an intricate pas de deux. The inhalation, rising from the root of the spine, has an expansive quality that bubbles up the way a lover greets his beloved. In the slight pause that follows, lover and beloved are united in a total embrace. During the exhalation, which reaches all the way down to the pelvic floor, the beloved is kissed as she merges back into the infinite.

The inhalation bathes the body in life; the exhalation surrenders that life back to its source. Each breath offers the chance to awaken and the opportunity to let go. When we pay attention, we can feel the core of our being ripple through our body. Breathing with awareness is a form of prayer, a grateful listening to the divine within ourselves.

Breathing in gratitude, we breathe out joy. This simplicity is the key to our vitality. We spend years searching for the key, looking high and low. The journey home begins when we realize that the key is hiding in our own pocket.

Love,
Deepak

"Are you looking for me?
I am in the next seat.
When you really look for me
you will find me instantly.
You will find me in the tiniest house of time.
Kabir says: Student, tell me,
what is God?
He is the breath inside the breath." ~Kabir

In Vedantic philosophy, prana is the life-sustaining force that flows through our bodies, similar to the energy of chi or Qi expressed in various Asian schools of thought. In Sanskrit prana means breath. And it is our breath - each breath - that keeps us in constant dynamic exchange with the universe. This energetic life force that moves in us, out of us, within us, and through us is ever present in our extended bodies as well, swirling with the wind, exploding with the surf, swaying with the trees, and rolling through blades of grass. Prana exists in every being and every piece of this planet that has life within it.

In Ayurveda, prana expresses itself through the Vata dosha, whose primary characteristic is movement. There are five Vata subdoshas that govern the flow of prana throughout our body and mind:

Prana Vata: responsible for perception, inspiration, and thought;

Udana Vata: governs the process of speech;

Samana Vata: controls the rhythm of peristalsis;

Apana Vata: the subdosha responsible for menstruation, waste elimination, and sexual function;

Vyana Vata: governs the circulation of blood throughout the body.
These five pranic subdoshas keep our vitality flowing through our five senses, as well as through the ether that swirls around us.

Pranayama (pronounced PRAH-nah-YAH-mah) is a breath-control practice that helps us regulate prana and influence our mental and physical states. There are a variety of pranayama or conscious breathing techniques to relax, balance, or invigorate your body-mind, including Nadi Shodhana, Bellows Breath, and Ujjayi. According to yogic philosophy, the breath is merely a gateway to the world of prana and its manifestation in the body. The great yoga masters teach that as we become more attuned to the pranic energy within, we spontaneously move from a constricted state into increasingly expansive states of awareness.

This Namasté is dedicated to Prana and its energetic aspects. In his letter, David Simon explains the Sanskrit origins of this timeless concept, and Deepak shares a poetic perspective on prana's eternal ebb and flow. This month's recipe, meditation Q&A, and other features offer further guidance to nurture your vital energy. We invite you to begin right now by taking a deep breath, feeling your lungs fill with air - with pure prana - and exhaling in gratitude for the primordial force that sustains you in every moment of your life.

Words of Wisdom
"Wisdom tells me I am nothing. Love tells me I am everything. Between the two my life flows."
~Nisargadatta Maharaj

"Emotions consist of energy plus a story. If we let go of the story, only the energy is left."
~Trumpa Rimpoche

"The depth of your breath is an extension of the expansiveness of your soul.
With each inhale you open your heart; with each exhale you stretch your being.
Breathing in . . . breathing out. Always reaching beyond
your heart, your body, your very essence . . . beyond that which existed only moments before."

THOUGHTS & PERCEPTIONS
Quotes by Gary Zukav

  • An authentically empowered person is humble. This does not mean the false humility of one who stoops to be with those who are below him or her. It is the inclusiveness of one who responds to the beauty of each soul. ...It is the harmlessness of one who treasures, honors, and reveres life in all its forms.

  • Eventually you will come to understand that love heals everything, and love is all there is.

  • The purpose of our journey on this precious Earth is now to align our personalities with our souls. It is to create harmony, cooperation, sharing, and reverence for Life. It is to grow spiritually. This is our new evolutionary pathway. The old pathway -pursuing the ability to manipulate and control-no longer works. It now produces only violence and destruction.

  • Try to realize that what stands between you and a different life are matters of responsible choice.

  • We are evolving form a species that pursues external power into a species that pursues authentic power... Authentic power has its roots in the deepest source of our being. An authentically empowered person is incapable of making anyone or anything a victim. An authentically empowered person is one who is so strong, so empowered, that the idea of using force against another is not a part of his or her consciousness.

  • If you wish the world to become loving and compassionate, become loving and compassionate yourself. If you wish to diminish fear in the world, diminish your own. These are the gifts that you can give.

  • Emotions reflect intentions. Therefore, awareness of emotions leads to awareness of intentions. Every discrepancy between a conscious intention and the emotions that accompany it, points directly to a splintered aspect of the self that requires healing.

  • When you interact with another, an illusion is part of this dynamic. This illusion allows each soul to perceive what it needs to understand in order to heal.

  • Reality is what we take to be true. What we take to be true is what we believe. What we believe is based upon our perceptions. What we perceive depends upon what we look for. What we look for depends upon what we think. What we think depends upon what we perceive. What we perceive determines what we believe. What we believe determines what we take to be true. What we take to be true is our reality.

Accept These 2 Facts and Be Happy Forever

Happiness:
Accept These 2 Facts & Be Happy Forever
By Kelly Price

There are two facts that if you accept them you can achieve happiness.

In fact anyone can be happy - Happiness is a choice - you are not born happy, just as you are not born sad.

You have to decide which you want to be and accepting thee two facts below will help you.

1) Accept What You Have

You may look at someone and want to be as good looking as them, or as rich as them but fact is you may not be and will never be.

Life is not fair as we all know and in our lives we all encounter situations where we feel we are hard done by.

The fact is you can't do anything about it.

You need to accept what you have and make the best of it.

It maybe a cliché but there is always someone worse off than you.

When you think you're hard done by, think of the millions of people around the world who have a far worse life than you, if you read a paper on any day you will find them.

From children born with aids into extreme poverty, to people who have illnesses that make us wonder how they cope at all.

A good example of a person accepting their lot was the actor Christopher Reeve.

He had it all -wealth, fame, looks and a loving family but suffered horrific injuries in a horse riding accident that, left him paralyzed from the waist down.

Dip he get depressed?

Did he simply sit back and say life's not fair?

No he didn't - he got on with life, set himself targets and set out to prove that he could walk again and inspire others with his efforts.

He never achieved his aim, but found a new purpose in life by helping others and trying to achieve his aim and felt gratitude for the love of his family and others around him.

So when you feel a bit depressed and think life's not fair think of Christopher Reeve and the countless millions of people around the world that remain happy and are in a far worse position than you.

2) Do Things to Make You Happy

There are certain things we can all do, with a bit of motivation to make us happy.

While you have to accept certain things in life others are within your reach and can make you happier.

Get motivated and think what can I achieve?

This is different to what you may want to achieve, so be realistic.

The fact is everyone can do things to make themselves happy if their motivated.

They may be simple things like, changing your job, taking up a sport, or just simply being good to people around you.

You may find that a simple change such as seeing good in other people and being nice to others makes a dramatic difference to your life.

By being nice to others, you will find they are nice to you and this can open up all sorts of opportunities to make your life better.

In fact loving and being loved, is perhaps one of the simplest ways to achieve happiness.

Being happy is simple:

Accept what you have
and make the best of it!

Achieving happiness
really is that simple!

Freeing Yourself From Your Mind

Watching the Thinker

When someone goes to the doctor and says, "I hear a voice in my head," he or she will most likely be sent to a psychiatrist. The fact is that, in a very similar way, virtually everyone hears a voice, or several voices, in their head all the time: the involuntary thought processes that you don't realize you have the power to stop. Continuous monologues or dialogues.

You have probably come across "mad" people in the street incessantly talking or muttering to themselves. Well, that's not much different from what you and all other "normal" people do, except that you don't do it out loud. The voice comments, speculates, judges, compares, complains, likes, dislikes, and so on. The voice isn't necessarily relevant to the situation you find yourself in at the time; it may be reviving the recent or distant past or rehearsing or imagining possible future situations. Here it often imagines things going wrong and negative outcomes; this is called worry. Sometimes this soundtrack is accompanied by visual images or "mental movies." Even if the voice is relevant to the situation at hand, it will interpret it in terms of the past. This is because the voice belongs to your conditioned mind, which is the result of all your past history as well as of the collective cultural mind-set you inherited. So you see and judge the present through the eyes of the past and get a totally distorted view of it. It is not uncommon for the voice to be a person's own worst enemy. Many people live with a tormentor in their head that continuously attacks and punishes them and drains them of vital energy. It is the cause of untold misery and unhappiness, as well as of disease.

The good news is that you can free yourself from your mind. This is the only true liberation. You can take the first step right now. Start listening to the voice in your head as often as you can. Pay particular attention to any repetitive thought patterns, those old gramophone records that have been playing in your head perhaps for many years. This is what I mean by "watching the thinker," which is another way of saying: listen to the voice in your head, be there as the witnessing presence.

When you listen to that voice, listen to it impartially. That is to say, do not judge. Do not judge or condemn what you hear, for doing so would mean that the same voice has come in again through the back door. You'll soon realize: there is the voice, and here I am listening to it, watching it. This I am realization, this sense of your own presence, is not a thought. It arises from beyond the mind.

So when you listen to a thought, you are aware not only of the thought but also of yourself as the witness of the thought. A new dimension of consciousness has come in. As you listen to the thought, you feel a conscious presence - your deeper self - behind or underneath the thought, as it were. The thought then loses its power over you and quickly subsides, because you are no longer energizing the mind through identification with it. This is the beginning of the end of involuntary and compulsive thinking. When a thought subsides, you experience a discontinuity in the mental stream - a gap of "no-mind." At first, the gaps will be short, a few seconds perhaps, but gradually they will become longer. When these gaps occur, you feel a certain stillness and peace inside you. This is the beginning of your natural state of felt oneness with Being, which is usually obscured by the mind. With practice, the sense of stillness and peace will deepen. In fact, there is no end to its depth. You will also feel a subtle emanation of joy arising from deep within: the joy of Being.

It is not a trancelike state. Not at all. There is no loss of consciousness here. The opposite is the case. If the price of peace were a lowering of your consciousness, and the price of stillness a lack of vitality and alertness, then they would not be worth having. In this state of inner connectedness, you are much more alert, more awake than in the mind-identified state. You are fully present. It also raises the vibrational frequency of the energy field that gives life to the physical body.

As you go more deeply into this realm of no-mind, as it is sometimes called in the East, you realize the state of pure consciousness. In that state, you feel your own presence with such intensity and such joy that all thinking, all emotions, your physical body, as well as the whole external world become relatively insignificant in comparison to it. And yet this is not a selfish but a selfless state. It takes you beyond what you previously thought of as "your self." That presence is essentially you and at the same time inconceivably greater than you. What I am trying to convey here may sound paradoxical or even contradictory, but there is no other way that I can express it.

Instead of "watching the thinker," you can also create a gap in the mind stream simply by directing the focus of your attention into the Now. Just become intensely conscious of the present moment. This is a deeply satisfying thing to do. In this way, you draw consciousness away from mind activity and create a gap of no-mind in which you are highly alert and aware but not thinking. This is the essence of meditation. In your everyday life, you can practice this by taking any routine activity that normally is only a means to an end and giving it your fullest attention, so that it becomes an end in itself. For example, every time you walk up and down the stairs in your house or place of work, pay close attention to every step, every movement, even your breathing. Be totally present. Or when you wash your hands, pay attention to all the sense perceptions associated with the activity: the sound and feel of the water, the movement of your hands, the scent of the soap, and so on. Or when you get into your car, after you close the door, pause for a few seconds and observe the flow of your breath. Become aware of a silent but powerful sense of presence. There is one certain criterion by which you can measure your success in this practice: the degree of peace that you feel within.

So the single most vital step on your journey toward enlightenment is this: learn to disidentify from your mind. Every time you create a gap in the stream of mind, the light of your consciousness grows stronger. One day you may catch yourself smiling at the voice in your head, as you would smile at the antics of a child. This means that you no longer take the content of your mind all that seriously, as your sense of self does not depend on it.

Metaphysics Intro
by Tom Montalk @ montalk. net
__________________________________

Beyond the material world, beyond the common rules, limitations, and assumptions we take upon ourselves, resides a greater spiritual reality operating under a set of higher principles that can help us transcend foolishness, strife, and drudgery. Knowledge limited to the physical world and bounded by the shortcomings of our five senses is not enough to attain freedom. Metaphysics is the study of higher knowledge, the deeper truths of life. We only have to recognize these higher truths and live by them to rise beyond old behavioral patterns and access a new vista of inconceivably wonderful possibilities.

All is Mind:

* Everything is consciousness, and all consciousness shares a common source. It is the ultimate center, the initiator of all causes, the core perceiver, the chooser.

* Consciousness is the dreamer (Creator), the dreamed (individualized consciousness), and the dreamscape (matter, space, energy, and time). There is no difference between reality and dreams except that reality involves mass consciousness holding the rules of reality rigid, whereas in dreams usually only the personal subconscious does so. Just as thought underlies objects in dreams, so does thought form the basis of matter in waking reality.

* Creation is infinite, composed of a unified infinite being (the Creator) and its expression as an infinite variety of finite beings. Stated another way, the Creator is an infinite being exploring its infinite potential through an infinite number of finite avenues. While individual evolutionary paths begin and end - beginning as the first stirring of awareness among primal matter and ending in unified congruency with the Creator - the grand experiment itself is without beginning or end because there are an infinite number of these paths.

* Because all life shares a common source, all life is interrelated and of equal worth. Only the expression of the underlying source differs from one lifeform to another. To differing degrees, each lifeform is endowed with freewill, the potential ability to choose independently of another being's choice. Freewill adds a wildcard factor that makes the grand experiment interesting instead of boringly deterministic.

* Existence is both holographic and fractal in nature. It is holographic in the sense that all possibilities exist simultaneously and timelessly, while our individual consciousness interfering with this static pattern is what generates the illusion of dynamic experience. In other words, it is we who move through the static pattern, the dreamscape projected by the Creator. Existence is fractal in the sense that freewill requires discontinuities and inconceivable complexities in this static web of possibilities. A fractal exists as a static pattern created from a deterministic equation, but due to the infinite complexity of a fractal, its exploration by a conscious perceiver becomes an nondeterministic affair. And thus the game of life can be characterized by freewill even though the gameboard itself is static and deterministic.

* Progress arises when freewill moderates the interaction between two opposite forces. This forms a trinity generically composed of an active force, passive force, and neutralizing or balancing force. This trinity can be found everywhere that progress is to be found. For example, the tension of a string comprises the active force, inertia of the string creates the passive force, and the musician is the balancing force. From this is born music. Within individuals, the lower impulses form the passive force, higher spiritual callings of the heart form the active force, and you - the incarnated consciousness - form the balancing force by choosing between these two opposite polarities. From this is born the progress of your personal evolution. Even the fractal boundary of the Mandelbrot set acquires its infinite complexity by being the balancing point beyond two opposing mathematical values, the finite and the infinite - which ties back into reality being a fractal hologram.

Good and Evil:

* Choice allows one to serve the Creator within oneself by exploiting others or by serving the Creator within others. The first path is identifed as evil/darkness/negativity while the second path one associates with good/light/positivity. This sets up two branches of evolution - one that works against the laws of Creation and one that works with and for it. Both ultimately serve the Creator's exploration of self, but only the positive path does so in a balanced manner. The tension between these two evolutionary paths enriches the grand experiment and provides the impetus for evolution by both sides.

* As Goethe wrote, the dark force "wills forever evil yet does forever good." The self-serving path, despite giving the individual personal power, also puts him in unwitting subservience to higher powers. The highest power of all is the Creator, which those of the dark hierarchy unwittingly serve by providing the grand experiment with the passive force necessary for evolution. They provide the darkness against which the light stands out. Lucifer is referred to as the "lightbringer" because through self-serving actions, manipulation, and infliction of pain, self-serving individuals unwittingly give others the opportunity to see the light.

Cosmology:

* Finite consciousness can be classified into an octave scale of conscious development. This octave arises naturally because consciousness is vibration, and vibration strung between a beginning point (as matter) and ending point (as unity with the Creator) sets up a scale. This scale consists of eight notes: do re mi fa so la si do. The first note signifies sleeping consciousness and the last note represents active consciousness - and notice that these notes have the same name, illustrating how sleeping and active consciousness are just two expressions of the same infinite consciousness. The space between two notes on this evolutionary scale is called a "density" and there are seven total densities, each encompassing a particular class of conscious development. The higher densities have higher vibrations of consciousness and are more evolved.

* Whereas densities categorize different evolutionary levels of the dreamed, the terms "spacetime" and "timespace" classify different aspects of the dreamscape. Spacetime is the arena of causal interaction better known as physicality, where two or more beings interact while bound by a common set of physical laws. Spacetime is where experiences occur and lessons are learned - the ground, the battlefield, the classroom. By contrast, timespace is the sky, the command center, the teacher's office. It is where individual beings have a bird's eye view of what occurs in spacetime, providing a still point of contemplation, reflection, and planning of further spacetime experiences. This is the state one enters in between physical incarnations. The lower densities exist primarily in spacetime while the higher densities choose to exist almost exclusively in timespace.

Personal Spiritual Evolution:

* Upon incarnating into a physical body, we experience an occultation of awareness and forget who we are. Then social conditioning and biological impulses graft a false identity upon us that is in total discord with our true spiritual nature. Most people wear this false identity for life and fail to recognize and fulfill their true reasons for incarnating. But for others, intuition and experiences help them realize that there is more to life than the material world (matrix) admits. Throughout life these individuals experience higher impulses guiding them toward becoming lucid in this dream, while simultaneously lower impulses beckon them toward sleep. For those who consistently listen to their higher impulses, inner and outer life transforms and begins to operate under divine instead of material laws, removing limitations of the latter and opening up new possibilities. This is the process of transcending the matrix, using higher laws to override lower ones by developing and purifying one's internal nature to resonate with higher realms of existence. This is a prerequisite for fulfilling one's potential.

Spreading Happiness-Daily OM

Spreading Happiness

The face is a complex palette of emotions. A slight turning up of the lips and a crinkling of the eyes can signal pleasure, contentment, happiness, or satisfaction. But in all cases, a smile is more than it seems. A smiling person is often judged as more attractive, pleasant to be around, sincere, honest, sociable, and inviting and is considered more confident and successful. Smiling is not a learned action. Even those born blind will smile when experiencing a joyful moment. A carefree smile is a quick and easy way to tell the world that you are open to new experiences and eager to meet new people...

It is assumed that a bright smile stems from happiness, but research has also shown that genuine happiness can stem from a smile. Even a smile called forth when you don't necessarily feel like smiling can trigger the release of endorphins, brightening your day. The simple act of smiling can help relieve stress by relaxing your facial muscles and encouraging you to focus on happy memories. And a forced smile, which only involves the muscles of the mouth, can easily turn into a true smile, which lights up the entire face. A smile motivated by real happiness is likely to inspire someone nearby to smile, possibly because of the expression's origins in the primate grin. That grin, which some scientists believe evolved into the smile, signaled that the one grinning was a friend rather than an opponent...

In ancient China, Taoists taught the benefits of the inner smile because they believed it insured happiness, health, and longevity. One smile can lessen the sting of a negative mood and bring on a better one. But don't be self-conscious about it. Smiling is universal and looks great on everyone. A smile, directed inward, outward, or at nothing in particular brightens the world and is a gift to those who see it...

Spirituality vs. Religion

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
I hope this doesn't offend anyone........if so I'm sorry.

SPIRITUALITY vs.
RELIGION

Author Unknown

Spirituality says that God is within us,
and that we do not need anyone else
to make this particular divine connection for us.

Religion says that we are separated from God,
and that we need to communicate with
and worship this ascended entity
in order to make the divine connection.

Spirituality says that we are free
to make choices on our own,
and that we must accept
personal responsibility for our actions.

Religion says that we must make their choices
and act their way, depending upon a given
religious denomination's belief systems.

The theme of spirituality is fellowship
through the employment of unconditional love.

The theme of religion is
fellowship through fear and guilt.

Spirituality does not require us to make donations.

Religion has become a big business.

Spirituality says there is no Hell,
no judgment, no angry God,
and that we are loved unconditionally.

Religion says there is a Hell,
God gets angry and judges us.

Therefore, we are not loved unconditionally.

Spirituality says we are free
to choose our own path to God.

Religion commands us to do it their way,
depending upon a particular
religious denomination's beliefs.

Spirituality says we should not
be ashamed of our sexuality.

Rather, it should be a sacred celebration of love.

Religion has taught us to feel ashamed,
guilty and dirty about our sexuality.

Spirituality says God is
within everyone and everything.

Religion says God and His messengers
reside in Heaven and that "they" are
the only intermediaries for us.

Spirituality says we are born
in innocence and purity.

Religion says we are born with sin.

Spirituality teaches that we are on a long
spiritual adventure and journey which will
ultimately end by reuniting with our Source.

Religion says we have got one life to get it all right,
and there is nothing but Heaven or Hell after that.

Spirituality says we are free to express.

Religion, over time, fostered the dreaded inquisition.

Spirituality teaches unconditional love for all.

Religion, over time, fostered the Crusades
in which many were killed
and slaughtered in the name of God.

Spirituality teaches peace and harmony.

Religion has caused more wars
and more killing than any other reason.

.

Spirituality says we have all the answers,
that we can find them by "going within.
"

Religion teaches us that it has all the answers
and only its answers are the right ones.

Spirituality teaches us to search
for the Universal Truths,
wherefrom our hearts will tell us
when we have found them.

Religion teaches we have no choice
but to accept their version of the Truth.

Which one feels better to you?
Spirituality or Religion?

Go to the depths of your heart for the answer
For, indeed, it will never lie to you, my friend.

OM

________________

The primordial vibration Om (or "aum") is considered the most sacred sound in Hinduism and Buddhism. Thousands of years ago the Vedic seers know what modern science has only recently discovered: everything we see in the universe Omconsists of energy vibrations - even those objects that appear solid. According to tradition, the ancient sages were able to hear the subtle vibrations produced by everything in the universe, and they identified Om as the most elemental sound of creation. In a quiet environment, you can hear the vibration of Om in the crashing of ocean waves, in the stillness of a forest, or in the rush of wind.

People have used Om as a mantra since ancient times, chanting the sound or silently repeating it in meditation to expand their awareness of the divine. In the Yoga Sutras, the philosopher Patanjali states that the repetition of Om, along with a deep contemplation of its meaning, is a direct path to enlightenment. He writes, "Om should be repeated and its essence realized. Then the mind will turn inward and the obstacles that stand in the way of progress will disappear.
"

Although Om is considered a sacred syllable, in India those of the Hindu faith use it frequently in daily life, beginning the day, a journey, or a project by uttering the sound. The symbol is also incorporated into the design of all Hindu temples and family shrines. In the Western world, repeating Om at the beginning and end of yoga classes is common, and more and more people are using the sound as a mantra for meditation and sacred ceremonies.

Recognizing Signs From Spirit.............................

Posted on Sep 25th, 2008 by nathangela : Lightworkers of the world Unite! nathangela
How To Recognize Signs from Spirit
by Joseph Eliezer

If you have been trying to make your life a little easier and more fulfilling lately, chances are that you have been introduced to many concepts which declare that the way to do this is through Spiritual enlightenment.

From bettering your health to increasing your finances or obtaining peace of mind, most of the books that have dominated the bestseller list, and in the media over the past decade, all agree that the key to living a more rewarding life is to live it with a greater emphasis on Spirit. That being the case, the question that comes up is "how is that done?" "How can you make your life better all the way around by living it according to Spirit?" The answer to that is by learning to interpret the guidance that is given to you and developing the courage to act on it.

It is important to know that being communicated to from Spirit is not something only for the elite. Many of the modern beliefs point to the coincidences that occur in your life as being messages from or communication with a higher deity. Translation: if you are experiencing a coincidence, then you are being communicated to. After all, it is literally impossible to plan such occurrences and always, the coincidence has to do with moving your life or helping to move somebody else s life forward. To this rule there are no exceptions.

I remember one such instance a few years ago. I was walking through a shopping mall and saw an old friend sitting on one of the benches there. He looked depressed and sort of troubled. I walked up to him and greeted him with a big warm smile. "Hey Lorne," I said, "How are you doing?" He answered that he was not doing very well. Lorne had just recently got married. His beautiful wife and he were expecting a baby a few months down the road, and he had recently lost his job.

The day before that, I was talking to another old friend of mine who told me that he was looking for a sales rep for his company. So the next day, while I was talking to Lorne, I asked him if he had ever thought about working in sales. He said that he loved being in sales and would jump at the chance to sell again if the product was right. I then told him about the conversation I had with my other friend the day before and suddenly Lorne's eyes perked up. I gave him my other friend's phone number and within a week, Lorne was on the road earning more money than he ever had in the past. I got a thank you card from both of them not three weeks after my chance meeting with Lorne in the mall. It made my day.

Signs from Spirit come in all shapes, forms and sizes. It is impossible to make a human inventory about the many ways in which Spirit can come into your life, because Spirit is not human..

Another rule of thumb that is held by devout Spiritualists is that absolutely everything that happens to you in your life happens for a reason, no matter how big or small the event is.

Just as there was a reason for me to have a conversation with my friend who owned a business that day, so too was there a reason for me to bump into Lorne the next day. The conversation with the friend happened for a reason; my coincidental meeting with Lorne did too. I interpreted the two occurrences and through action, played the part of the messenger by connecting them together doing them both a favor, which in turn made me feel most spiritual.

The best thing that you can do in learning to become more spiritual is to learn to be more open to the experiences that occur in your life and by not judging them as good or bad. There is a reason why things happen to you and as you start to open yourself to the unlimited possibilities to the ways that Spirit communicates through the events in your life, you begin to live the teaching that says, "The Lord works in mysterious ways.
"

Your job in making the Spiritual world more physical is not to force these ways to make sense according to how you want your life to be, but to be open to them, thus giving the events that occur in your life more room to flow. This will allow events to unfold naturally in your life, which will bring you the health, joy and prosperity that you are wanting. It cannot be otherwise.

Guiding Principles
_____________________________

*Be slow to take offense if indeed you ever take offense at all. For being offended gains you nothing and can cost you much.

*Have patience with the mistakes and follies of others. Instead of harsh criticism, offer genuinely helpful feedback so that everyone benefits.

*Forgive early and forgive often. Set yourself free from the heavy burden of resentment and move quickly beyond the pain.

*Learn from your regrets, yet do not punish yourself with them. Today is a new day with more possibilities than ever before.

*Be truly thankful for all that is and for your opportunity to experience it. You'll discover great stores of goodness and value when you simply have faith that they're there.

*Live beyond the petty, fleeting concerns and focus on the profound and beautiful substance of your life. There is so very much good that you can always do with it.

The Law of Least Effort

The Law of Least Effort
by Deepak Chopra - chopra. com
______________________________

Nature's intelligence functions with effortless ease... with carefreeness, harmony and love and when we harness the forces of harmony, joy and love, we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.
I will put the Law of Least Effort into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:

*I will practice acceptance. Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur. I will know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete. I accept things as they are this moment, not as I wish they were.

*Having accepted things as they are, I will take responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation (and this includes myself.) I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.

*Today my awareness will remain established in Defenselessness. I will relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I will remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to any one of them.

"The soul should always stand ajar,
ready to welcome ecstatic experience.

ACCESSING THE AKASHIC RECORDS

An insight to past, present and future

By Konstadina Sadoriniou

Copyright 2008

Imagine a library that has no limits... Imagine its shelves filled with countless books with countless pages.... Imagine it, being in a sacred place that no man can access physically or see with physical eyes, but still it is there. It is there as a reality that exists beyond space and time and it's made up with pure, divine light. A light that no earthly being can sense under a 3D vision but still can experience and be part of it through the power of its subconscious mind, and its spiritual existence. This is the eternal creation of the Akashic Records.

The word "akashic" derives from the sanskrit word "Akasha" which means "ether" or "boundless space" or "primary substance". These records are formed by the written journey of every individual soul since the beginning of this planet and are also know as the Book of Life or The Book of Remembrance. Every thought, every word, every action of the individual and his interactions with the rest of the creation, throughout its many incarnations and sojourns on this planet are registered on these etheric pages. It's where one can find the past, present and future of every living being.

In the "Alchemy and the Secret Doctrine" it was mentioned: Akasha is one of the cosmic principles and is a plastic matter, creative in its physical nature, immutable in its higher principles. It is the quintessence of all possible forms of energy, material, psychic, or spiritual; and contains within itself the germs of universal creation, which sprout forth under the impulse of the Divine Spirit".

It has been compared as the world wide web and the countless of individual websites. Through the internet everyone is able to access his / hers own website or the other people's websites, however, only we can alter our own website. In the same way the akashic records are not static books but made by interactive pages, with an ongoing creative stimulus upon the present. A person is able through the power of free will to consciously or subconsciously re-write its history and also change its potential future direction.

The Akashic Records are not actual books or scrolls -though many people see them as such when they access them - but they are actually an energetic vibration. It is this energy vibration that translates into images, forms, symbols, imagery, and language that the mind can understand.

There has been a reference to the akashic records and the Book of Life by many old civilizations, cultures and religions. It goes back to the Babylonians, the Assyrians, the Phoenicians and the Hebrews. Information on the Book of Life we can find in the Old and New Testaments (i.e. Exodus 32:32, Psalm 139, Philippians 4). In our more recent history, there is a mention and channeled information from the founder of Theosophical Society Madam Blavatsky (1831 - 1891) and the founder of the Anthroposophical Society Rudolf Steiner (1861 - 1925). However, the most extensive source of information regarding the Akashic Records comes form the clairvoyant work of Edgar Cayce (1877 - 1945).

Cayce was a Christian mystic and founder of the Association for Research and Enlightenment Inc. In his 43 years of work he was able to document hundreds of readings written in books or tapes. When asked about the source of his information, Cayce mentioned that there were mainly two: the subconscious mind of the individual he was reading and the akashic records. Amongst other, he has stated about the records: As it has been often called, the records is God's Book of Remembrance; and each entity, each soul - as the activities of a single day of an entity in the material world- either makes same good or bad or indifferent, depending upon the entity's application of self towards that which is the ideal manner for the use of time, opportunity and the expression of that which each soul enters a material manifestation. The interpretation then as drawn here is with the desire and hope that, in opening this for the entity, the experience may be one of helpfulness and hopefulness".

In this last comment lies the basic foundation and intent in the whole process of opening one's akashic records. Although we all do have glimpses of some aspects that have been written in our records, through our dreams or unexpected feelings, senses, images or knowingness, one can have the ability of accessing his / her akashic records through a process of hypnosis, past- life imaginative reverie, meditation, or through the help of a psychic reader. Moreover, one can be taught and be mentored on how to develop his /hers psychic abilities, intuition and receive information from their own records. Depending on who the reader is and their special characteristics and abilities, the information can be received through sensing, seeing, hearing or inner knowing.

Although the akashic records were written as if you were to write something with pen on paper as realistically as everything has taken place, every reader has a different level of ability to perceive, perceives the information from a different perspective than someone else and interprets the information based on his /her understanding, knowledge, belief system, intents, purposes, fears and expectations. Moreover, when it comes to future predictions, a reader can only see the most possible future potential based on the past and the present, as the future is not predestined, but is continuously being formed through the free will and free choice all of us have.

However, there is great validity in being able to access our akashic records, as the intent is not to merely know things of our past births and what the future holds for us. The intent is to receive insight which will help us progress in our inner journey as well as our life's journey, become better people and create a better life for us and those around us, through divine guidance and direction.

We can never become sure if what we perceive from our records is 100% accurate - although many times we are offered validations - but if the information resonates with us and is helping us become a better person or create a better living, is it most likely worth considering, accepting and following.

An Akashic Records reading can bring the guidance we need in our life to work through present problems, it can allow us to see the opportunities we need for growth, direction, creativity, and joy. In addition an Akashic reading can bring peace and understanding to current day illnesses, grief, and suffering. Moreover, it can help us sort out difficult or major life transitions; it can bring clarity to our thought processes or, help us to see the problem from an angle we have not considered.

Questions that are often asked include: what is my soul's purpose; what is my mission for this life; Am I on the right path; am I in the right relationship; am I in the right job or profession; how can I heal; which are the blockages that prevent me to heal or progress; and questions which request deeper understanding on various karmic issues.

It is not acceptable to use the akashic records for asking about cures to illnesses, about medical diagnosis, sensitive relationship issues or predicting death. Moreover, the method of accessing the akashic records should be used with the greatest of respect and reverence and with the intent of empowering the individual and not creating co-dependencies.

There are also some people who are interested in knowing if they have been some sort of a great or famous personality in any of their past births. When once Cayce was asked about something on that content he very wisely replied whilst being in connection with the akashic records: "What entity is NOT well known in the end! As to being worldly famous - no more than in the present; as a teacher, a helper to those along life's seeking way.
"

Besides an inner satisfaction of our ego and the need of social status, what we had been in the past would only be of importance if during those times we took advantage of the opportunities that laid before us in coming closer to our divine origins.

So, the importance would be not in what an individual we were in the past but what an individual we are becoming now. The way that at present the akashic records reveal information - even that from past births - is based on this intent of providing the individual with those possibilities that where taken, not taken and would be of benefit to be taken at present and / or in the future.

Now at a time we are living moments of great spiritual evolution, enlightenment and revelations, we are able to better and quicker develop our insight and access information which were not available to us before. We are also able to have the ability not only to open our akashic records and those of others, but we can do so with the presence of our higher self, divine beings, angels, guides and ascended masters. We are able to create and be in that highly evolved energetic space where the experience is so unique, beautiful and extraordinary that one can only experience benefit from it.

Although Cayce had to take himself in a state of self-hypnosis and trance, at present it is not necessary to do this to access the akashic records. Although a creation of a quite and clear space and a quite and clear mind would be very helpful, the akashic records can be opened through a sacred prayer, where one can state specific questions and be able to receive a response in any means, and be able to interpret it as clearly and objective as possible. One needs to trust the self and what is received, to trust their inner gut feelings and intuition. Self - confidence plays a major role in this process, and self -confidence comes through practice and even with validations and guidance of an experienced mentor / akashic records reader.

Accessing the akashic records can be an amazing journey of deep and valuable insight, of spiritual teaching and personal transformation and growth. This potential and this ability is a great self empowering tool which helps us re-claim our power, re-discover our self, re-evaluate our life and re-write our history. It gives us the opportunity for healing and personal growth. In our present time frame, accessing the akashic records is not a privilege of the few. Any person is able - if he / she should wish - to re-awaken his/ her ability to access his/her book of life and claim control of his / her past, present and future.

Lightworkers Daily Reminder

_________________________________

I ask that spirit walk with me this day, and that I have the courage to carry this truth within me in all that I do. To fully stand in my own truth and power is to honor the spirit within. Help me today to re-member both who I am and who I am not. Who I am is magnificent, yet to carry a facade of who I am not only detracts from that magnificence.

To accept the truth of my own limitations clears the path to carrying my true power. I know that holding my power is only possible when I am not afraid of being vulnerable. This day I will balance my ego by checking it often and seeing my true motivations. I accept the power that is rightfully mine and will use it to create Home on this side of the veil.

I ask that I may allow Spirit to emanate from me to all who choose to look upon me, that I may be a perfect mirror so that they may see the God within themselves. Help me to touch their hearts with my Love and allow them to re-member Home and who they really are as I re-member who I am.

As Spirit walks with me this day I remember to give thanks for the gift of Spirit on my shoulder. May I always use it to the highest good of all concerned. I vow to enjoy this day to its fullest and to laugh at every opportunity. This day I will play the wonderful Game and I will carry the vibrations of Home in every move on the Gameboard.

This day I will Re-member.
